I'm Sam, your local photographer in French Polynesia, a globetrotter at heart and a big fan of bare feet on all occasions.
With my upbeat vibe and sharp eye,
I capture real, natural moments.
I have a knack for laughing at anything (especially myself) and a passion for great stories – whether they're real or straight out of a fantasy book.
After 17 years in Europe, I said goodbye to the stress of Paris to return to Tahiti. Why? My son. I want to give him the same childhood I was lucky enough to have: gentle, surrounded by magnificent nature and a caring people who make my heart beat faster.
A heavenly childhood
I was born in French Polynesia where I grew up in Mo'orea until I was 5 years old. I then left for 5 years to the island of Penang in Malaysia. Then, I returned to Tahiti until I was 17 before leaving to study in mainland France.
My childhood was a joyful mix of languages and cultures. Between the English I spoke with my mother (of Filipino origin), the French I spoke with my father, and the thousand nationalities I encountered at international school, I was well served. The result: perfect Franglais!
Jokes aside, this wealth has made me an expert in adaptation and a very curious and caring person.
The real result? An unconditional love for travel, encounters, and the great outdoors.

a long love story
Finding your way at 18? Too hard! After high school, I went on a "pedagogical wandering" where I navigated between studies in hospitality, literature, and a master's degree in communications. My only companion during all these trials: my camera.
After immortalizing landscapes and travels, I realized that what truly fascinated me was YOU. Capturing bursts of laughter, tears of joy, knowing glances... in short, the real, the beautiful, the alive. That's why I decided to settle and become a photographer in French Polynesia, the most beautiful place in the world.

but not only...
I'm the mother of a 3-year-old boy who's ultra-charismatic, sociable, and has way too much energy. He's one of the pillars of my life. The other pillar? My husband, who has supported me through thick and thin for over 10 years. (He's even the one who created my website!)
I love deep conversations that go off in all directions and last late into the night. Small talk isn't my thing.
I love nature, but I'm far from a fearless adventurer: snakes and spiders terrify me, and I'm one of those people who prefers to observe the jungle from a hammock with a good book. On the other hand, put me in front of a sunrise over the ocean and I can spend hours admiring the spectacle.
My hidden talents? Falling asleep on a plane before takeoff, and never managing to park in a parking space.
I've been a Taylor Swift fan for over 15 years. One of the highlights of my life is being lucky enough to see her twice during her "Eras Tour."
But my record is seeing Local Natives, my favorite californian band, live 10 times. In short, I love concerts.
In life, I have three great passions: traveling, telling stories through photos, and laughing.
And if possible, do everything at the same time.
